Six months after he played at the Ibanez booth (Frankfurt Musikmesse) Tom signed an
Artist Endorsement Deal with the company and from now on is an official Ibanez Endorser.
But that's not all: Ibanez Custom Shop built the Tom Riepl Signature Guitar for him.
Isn't that great ?! Tom sure is the first and only German guitar player to get his own
Ibanez Signature Guitar. For more details about this wonderful instrument see

Smart Country Guitar is the title of Tom's monthly column in Gitarre&Bass Magazine.
Smart Country Guitar will also be the title of Tom's first book on which he is
currently working. It's not only for Country Pickers and it's more then just another
instructional book: informative - amusing - exciting. Will be released 2000 ...

Tom continues working on songs for his new CD and probably will also produce the
new album of Austrian Pop-Jazz guitarist Doctor J.

Musikmesse '99: In addition to his Rocktron shows Tom was also performing
at the Ibanez booth where he introduced the prototype of a new guitar: RG with a "Low Pro
Edge Transducer Tremolo" (= Floyd Rose with piezo for acoustic sounds).

From March 3rd to March 7th guitar player and G&B columnist Tom Riepl will perform at Frankfurt Musikmesse 1999.
At the Rocktron booth he will introduce the new Prophesy preamp. Check out his daily shows in hall 9.1, booth D.08.

After a successful clinic tour for Rocktron products there are a few studio-jobs to do for Tom. Later on he will start writing new songs for another instrumental album. And of course he will continue writing his column for Gitarre&Bass magazine: "Smart Country Guitar". |
